Rocky City Swimming is well known for its long list of successes in many different aspects and levels of swimming. This success can be seen at all different levels of swimming, from Local, State and National Levels of swimming. Rocky City Swimming is also highly successful in other areas of swimming such as Open Water.
The National Level carnivals are competitions that require significantly faster times than other levels. The swimmers that compete here are some of the best and compete against swimmers from around Australia. Rocky City is proud to say that every year we are able to send swimmers to nationals every year and get exceptional results.
The state level is for swimmers that are able to achieve the times required to qualify. These times are slightly easier then the National times, and is where all the swimmers compete against swimmers from all around Queensland. Rocky City is very competitive at this level with a large group of swimmers attending this meet.
Open Water is a different style of competition to other meets, with the swimmers competing in a lake or ocean and doing significantly longer distances. These carnivals are more challenging then normal meets due to the long distances.
Our club, Rocky City attends a variety of local meets. They are from Rockhampton to Bundaberg and out to Emerald. This is where our swimmers gain their experience and qualifying times for other meets. At the local level, Rocky City competes exceptionally well and makes a name for itself in CQ.
